PCRFM Youth Radio

Peterborough Community Radio (PCR) Youth Radio is part of the young people radio project and is supported by BBC Children In Need.

It gives young people between the age of 10 to 18 years old, the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and spend time volunteering as well as presenting, producing or reporting for the station.

Everyone involved has been trained to present their own radio show. The training course is a 15-hour free radio production course.

Young People part of the project also have the opportunity to attend a 'Motivational trip'. This involves young people to participate in a trip out to somewhere for the day. In October 2015, 10 of the young people visited London for the day and visited the V&A, The Science Museum and London Eye.

Over previous broadcast to date, more than 100 young people from different communities and backgrounds attended training sessions and produced their own radio programmes.
