The inspiration to set up an internet radio station started over a cuppa in Birmingham, UK. While it was known that there are other internet radio stations that broadcast on a regular basis, none seemed to do the streets justice, as either they had a lack of live talent or would only broadcast 1 or 2 days a week. Even so, within the Midlands there seemed to be plenty of talent who were not playing on the radio and could not get booked at major events up and down the country, yet they could play skilfully or had superior mixing skills than some ‘commercial’ names.
