The Classic 1230

The day was the 18th of May when Orvall Burda and his original radio stars went on the air here at KDIX in 1947. In those days, they were indeed stars to the local public. Orvall Burda was the first Manager of KDIX, Orvall and the Dickinson Radio Association with then Mayor Frank Whitney as its President culminated 2 years of planning with the filing of the application and the approval by the FCC.
