Welcome to the Cat Radio’s official website! The station ran by students, for students.

The Cat is the radio station for the University of Chester based on the Warrington Campus.

It all started about 8 years ago as a simple dream and now it has evolved into what we all know and love today.

We are on a 5 year renewable license with Ofcom and we are currently in the third year of a second cycle…so far so good. We are broadcasting at 1 watt on medium wave 1251am as well as streaming mp3 online. The station is funded and run (well, all the paperwork) by the University.
