Radio Goolarri provides an avenue whereby social, cultural and political ideas and concerns can be expressed. It is also an area where traditional language, music and culture can be fostered along with the more contemporary forms of artistic expression. It’s a place where Indigenous people can tell their own stories in their own way. It’s also a place for non-Indigenous and Indigenous people to come together.
Goolarri Media is a fully Indigenous-owned and led arts and media organization based in North-West Western Australia. They nurture First Nations musicians, filmmakers, writers, and performers through radio, television, film production, arts programs, and community events. Goolarri Media also provides nationally accredited training and career pathways for Indigenous people across the Kimberley, Pilbara, and wider Western Australia, empowering First Nations voices through media and culture.
