KUCI 88.9 FM is innovative, commercial-free music and public affairs programming. Broadcasting from the University of California at Irvine 24/7, the station takes pride in setting trends and discovering underrepresented artists and information. We play no mainstream music. Our talk shows examine subjects mainstream radio won't. We are run by volunteer students and community members. Our ongoing training course enables new DJs/Hosts to create their own radio shows and expand the sonic universe of our listeners. KUCI is non-profit and Orange County's only public radio station. We encourage expression of all kinds and it shows in our diverse, ground-breaking talk shows and music!
