To encourage and provide outlets for the creative skills and energies of the community; to conduct classes and workshops in the writing and producing of drama; to establish awards and scholarships for creative writing; to offer performance facilities of amateur instrumentalists, choral groups, orchestral groups and music students; and to promote and aid other creative activities which will serve the cultural welfare of the community.
The African American Family & Cultural Center in Oroville is a community hub that hosts programs and events. It is also the home of KOYO 107.1 FM, which can be streamed live. The center offers various programs including a community garden, educational sessions, and tax assistance, and has been empowering African American families and the community for over 10 years.
