Ka'u Radio

Ka'u District is the largest district in all of Hawai'i. Located on the SE portion of Hawaiian Island, spanning from Volcano, HI to Miloli'i.

Ka'u Radio is a community-operated broadcasting organization, non-profit, and operated by 100% volunteer staff. We play all kine genre, covering all local news and events, between our 24/7/365 Radio broadcasting, to our sister station- Ka'u TV.

We are also part of the Emergency Broadcasters Network (EBN), SkyWarn, ARES of S. Hawaii, CERT organizations, as well as Hawaii County Civil Defence, so we have you all covered for local emergencies and notifications Island wide.

Like most community broadcasters, we are awaiting the FCC to resume normal operations, and so we can submit our LPFM & LPTV applications.
