The station was founded in 1952 by Hon. Alderman Mrs Freda Cocks OBE.

BHBN plays a variety of regular patient request, music and speciality shows, as well as providing sports commentaries from Aston Villa, Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion home football matches and Warwickshire County Cricket Club home cricket fixtures from Edgbaston.

Listening to us is free to those with a bedside TV/radio unit; if you need any help with tuning in, let us know or ask your nurse.
