About Akra FM

Akra, which began broadcasting in 1993, is one of Turkey's first private radio stations. It boasts the country's "widest broadcast area" with 201 active transmitters nationwide, reaching approximately 500 cities and districts. Akra's satellite broadcasts via Türksat 3A are accessible in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Turkic republics, and it can also be continuously listened to on the FM band between Edirne and Ankara using the RDS system. The station offers a rich program spectrum covering news, health, culture, literature, education, and conversation, and has received numerous awards, including "best thematic radio."
